A man in a red hat and blue suit looks beyond the frame, his face and clothing broken by vivid marks of color. For Fula, this is a portrait of friendship and the decision to keep moving through uncertainty.

The story began with a friend’s call about a show in 2019. During the pandemic, they went into Boston seeking gallery walls and places to exhibit, building momentum while much of the city was paused. Their efforts drew recognition from Mayor Marty Walsh and coverage in The Boston Globe. The painting carries the risk, persistence, and trust behind that shared experience.
