In my latest series, "Throw me in the Trash," I embarked on a journey of exploration and reflection. I delved into the world of paper prototypes, seeking to understand the limitations of using a framed canvas. As I experimented with these prototypes, I found myself crumpling one of them and tossing it into the waste, only to watch it hit the rim and land on the floor.
This seemingly mundane act sparked a significant realization within me. As I gazed at the crumpled paper, I began to ponder the fate of my own work. Would it, too, one day be discarded? This contemplation fundamentally shifted my perception of time and art.
I came to the realization that driving my work with ego no longer fueled my ambition. Instead, it allowed me to transcend the constraints of my own lifetime, enabling me to create art that exists beyond the boundaries of my own existence.
"When we connect our identity to material possessions in an attempt to leave a lasting legacy, we may inadvertently prioritize our future impact over embracing the present, thus obscuring the true value of the moments we are currently experiencing."
Join me on this thought-provoking journey as I delve into the intersection of art, time, and self-expression in "Throw me in the Trash."
